    let the fan start ofter? and longer.. fan button?

    hi my computer gets a bit hot and the fan doesn't go on often.. and when it does it is on fore a little while but its not enough to cool down the computer.. i was wondering if i could change something somewhere.. maybe in registry editor (regedit) or something? and yeah also there i a button with a pick of a fan on it.. do you know what it does?.. and/or where the settings for that button is?...
    my computer is Fujitsu Siemens, Amilo .. with windows XP if that matters =) thanks for helping =)

    is it the amilo laptop?

    do you have any problems with it cutting out?

    where's the buton with a pic of a fan on?

    yes it's a amilo laptop. dont have any problems with it cutting out. The button is above all the other buttons.. to the left of the shut down button. =) i dont have a clue what it does

    what model is it?

    my laptop has only the silver power button in the top left had corner, above the keyboard

    uhh model.. everything that is written on the computer is:
    Amilo, Fujitsu computers Simens, AtiX1400, core 2 duo, Designed for windows Xp, under the laptop stands Amilo pi 1536 umh where can i see what model it is? =S (sorry if im a little slow)

    have you any other model numbers?

    underneath it should have a model number

    okey ill write everything thats under my laptop.
    there is a lot of numbers.. can you tell me a litle bit more specific where it is?
    does something stand before the number like ser.nr or something?

    it should say model number on the bottom
