"Save Image As" Stopped Working
Normally if there is a pic on the internet that I want to save I right click on it, choose "Save Image As", and then, in the pop up box, name it and send it to the folder of my choice.
Windows still has me go through this routine, but it doesn't save it. I go to the folder that I designated, and nothing is in it. The strange thing is that when I am naming the file in the "save image as" pop up window, and click on the drop down memo for files saved to this folder it lists all the pics that it supposedly saved, but it really hasn't saved any of them.
I have no problem moving files and folders around in the computer. The only problem is when I try to save a pic from the internet. I have downloaded literally thousands of pics before without any problem.

First thought is that your SAVE format is incorrect. See this page for details and let us know if this is the problem:

I don't use Internet Explorer. I use Mozilla Firefox. The funny thing is that I just booted Internet Explorer, and lo and behold I can save images with IE. So it must be a Firefox problem. I can't find anything in Firefox tools, etc. that would seem to address this problem. My temp files are empty.

I posed this same problem some time ago. Jephree traced the problem to Netscape, so it may affect Mozilla too. I just quit using netscape and ran another browser to save pictures.

Hello,
I am facing the same problem in Mozilla! When I try to save an image, it goes in the normal procedure and seems to be saved but actually not. I think, shifting browser is not a solution at all; there must a be a solution to this problem. Is there any Mozilla/FireFox guru to rescue us from this problem? :-(

Finally I have solved the problem. Let's follow the procedure...
1. Uninstall Fire Fox
2. Remove Mozilla folder from\Local Settings
\Application Data
These two folder can be found in "Documents and Settings".
Example:
C:\Documents and Settings\Niaz\Local Settings
C:\Documents and Settings\Niaz\Local Settings\Application Data
Here 'Niaz' is my XP profile.
3. Install Mozilla AGAIN.
I hope, it will solve your problem.
Regards,
Niaz
