I have a Compaq laptop that was refurbished. I am having a couple different problems and I could definetly use some advise.

1. System is giving me an error message every time that I try to download anything. This inclludes software, email, virus scans, etc... It is a generic error message stating that the program can not be found or is unavailable.

2. I am also having a problem accessing my wireless capabilities at my house. My husbands laptop runs fine, but we can not get mine to cooperate.

Any help/suggestions are appreciated!

What exactly do you mean by "refurbished"?

Was XP reinstalled? If so did you reload all your drivers?
