I'm having a little trouble with my display. Right now it is set at 1024x 768 but the icons and words are a little stretched. It works but it is kind of annoying. When I set the display to 1280 x 720 everything looks perfect but the desktop get cut off a little on all side.

Is there any way to adjust this so that I can use this resolution and not have it cut off? I have a Nvidia 5700le graphics card and I have the latest driver installed. I played with it for quite a while but it just wouldn't work right.

what monitor are you using? some monitors, the newer TFT Flat screens, have the Magic Option where they help you resize everything. have you checked that?

try different screen refresh rates

right click desktop > properties > settings > advanced button > monitor

there should be a drop down menu where you can select different refresh rates

My card is set at 1024x768 but any refresh rate other than 75htz does strech my display where there are sections missing around the edges

My monitor doesn't have that option which I think it should. It is a 32in philips lcd. As far as refresh rate 60 is my only option.

in the monitor properties, where the refresh rate option is, try unchecking the box "hide modes that this monitor can't display" might not work but worth a try.
