    Windows XP Startup Woes

I bought and built a new PC after a new year's afterparty wreaked havoc on my old system. The Processor is a P4 3.0Ghz 1MB cache with 1GB DDR1 RAM on a Gigabyte 865 Motherboard. It was working semi fine until a few days ago, the PC would begin to freeze up - I'd check the TaskManager and it would show Explorer.exe using 50%-54% of the CPU. I'd try to end the process, but then a hard drive would power off and the computer would be hung. This would happen every few hours. I also started getting a BSOD error:

    PFN_LIST_CORRUPT
    0x0000004E 0x00000099 0x000074fb 0x0000003 0x0000007
So I did a web search and determined that I should run the driver verifier already on my machine. I ran the Verifier, which said it must restart the PC. After restart I recieved the following BSOD:

    DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
    STOP: 0x000000D1 (0x8C323000, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xBAC6C7B0)
    NETFLT.SYS ADDRESS BAC6C7B0 Base at BAC60000 DATESTAMP 452ba805
I was able to enter Safe mode, So I decided that perhaps I should remove my PCI cards. I turned off the PC, removed them from the case and turned on the power.

I recieved the same error msg as above.

Then I replugged in all the cards I took out, and windows started again normally. (This confused me immensely)

I dont know what attachments/files I should include with this request for help; so forgive me and teach me

    Hi

As for the BSOD, the driver NETFLT.SYS in C:\Windows\System32\Drivers belongs to "Panda Titanium 2005".

    Do you have that installed?

Yes, I do have Panda Antivirus installed.

I had stumbled upon that same webpage while doing a search for a solution to my problem, and tried using the Windows Driver Verifier per its recommendation: that's what caused the 2nd BSOD error I saw (the 2nd quoted text)
