Is this a new problem? Was this setup working OK previously?
If so: any new hardware or software?
What is you graphics device and do you have the latest drivers for it?
Right click My Computer then click Manage then Device Manager
Your graphics device will be listed under Display adapters > click the +

Ok the thing is that this was my cousins computer. He only knew spanish so everything is in spanish. And i dont know my spanish that well so i have no idea what im clicking. I tried changing it on control panel and it worked but it stays the same.
And this happend because my computer got a virus so i installed windows xp again and it just got like that.

Drivers here:

You need the video and you might need the monitor drivers. Try the video first and see if that works.
-
i did both and it still doesn't work
-
Did you reboot the computer?
The other possibility is that you have a graphics card that was added to the Sony. In this case you will need to ID the card.
Is your monitor plug vertical and near the upper edge of the case or horizontal and towards the lower middle of the case? If the latter you have a graphics card.
Most likely it is either based on an ATI or nVidia chipset. Drivers here:
ATI > http://ati.de/support/driver.html
nVidia > http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp

Yea i rebooted my computer. And i don't think its what you say with the whole horizontal thing i mean this just happened now it wasn't like this. It was once i installed windows again.
-
After you install Windows you need to load your hardware drivers.
If the Sony drivers did not work then you most likely have a graphics card not provided by Sony.
Therefore the orientation of your monitor plug would be telling us this.
