Hi

I want to do a System Restore...I want to know, will i lose my recently downloaded virus definitions from Symantec or my Live Updates from Microsoft? If i do lose them , can i back them up before i restore?

Yes you will "lose" them. (back to the date you restore to.)

But after your restore just go back to Symantics' site & Windows Update & they will be available for download again.

Just by the way I would recommend installing at least SP1 for xp.

I would advise the user to get onto xp2 very quickly. I sthere any reason why you have not slipstreamed an install or just haven't installed it yet?
