I have three users set up on my computer, all with identical rights. Unfortunately, my user has no sound at all (except at startup) but the other two users have no problems. I have looked at everything my very limited computer knowledge leads me to think might be a factor but can find no discrepancies. I have been advised to delete my user and set it up again but I am worried that, if I do that, all of the programmes I have installed will disappear. Can you assist me, please?

Is this Home or Pro? Do you know if the Built-in Administrative account is being used or not?

OS is Home version and I am not using the Administrative account built in to the system. Thanks for the link - I will have a look and see if I can sort it out from there.
