my pc crashed now it wont boot iv tried running the windows chkdsk off my windows xp disk and it stops and crashed at 31% 3 times in a row. Tried running in safe mode and it stoped at vax347b.sys aksed if i wanted to push esc to cancel tried canceling tried not same thing either way pc turns its self off and starts again and round it goes again. have some files that arnt backed up which could really do with out losing so tried switching my sata hdd to slave and pluged in my other hdd with a working copy of windows, in the hope that i could get the files but then that one dies when i unplug the sata hdd the other one works fine aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh please please please help anyone or my wife may kill me lol

can you boot into safe mode and uninstall it?

yes i have alcohol and no i carnt boot in safe mode bit more info the blue screen b4 it crahes says .... unmountable_boot_volume. then all the normal stuf about removing net hardwear. technical information *** stop: 0x000000ed (0x86760e30,0xc0000006,0x00000000,0x00000000)

Hiya kyle_fei the reason I asked about alcohol 120 I googled vax347b.sys and it came up as a alcohol 120 file or it may be mailware
