    I am guessing that this is a Norton problem. You said it happened right after installing?

    Here is the Norton Removal tool plus reinstallation instructions if you want to try again:

    If there is any way to get your money back I would not reinstall this software.

    You could also try contacting Symantec and see if they have any ideas as to what went wrong.

    Actually I think it did happen right after I installed it...I will try to uninstall with the link you provided and see if anything happens....... Will let you know, Thanks.......

    OK, now it tells me LiveUpdate is trying to run I will have to try back later - except I do not see where Liveupdate is trying to run.....do you know how I can shut it off if it is trying to run?

    Did you run that uninstall tool?

    Live Update is ccApp.exe

    End Task in the Task Manager.

    Right click an empty area of the Taskbar and then click Task Manager > Processes

    You can also see if it is listed in Services and Disable it.

    start > Administrative Tools > Services
