    Re: Computer locking up

Well, it has been a few days and lone and behold, it is locking up .. I don't know why it had a few problem - free days, but it did.

I'm wondering, is there a way to test if my power supply is bad? Or, like before, could my power supply just be too much for my computer to handle?

Just to verify: Have you connected the 4 pin power supply wire to the card?

As to PSU testers they are available at most any electronics stores. Examples here:

I'm just plugging in what the stock PSU was plugged into.

Would there be something extra I would have to plug into for the new PSU?

And ty, I'll look for a tester next time I'm out.

Many new Graphics cards have an independent 4 pin PSU connection.

In a quick search I cannot determine this for your card but I would suspect that it does have this need.

When you look at the card is there not a 4 pin connection on the outside edge?
