I have just replaced my second hard drive on my computer ( dell 220 workstation )the following error mesage came up during windows installer :- error1372 invalid drive d have looked on the computer hardware and it telling me that this drive is operating normal but the drive will not show on the my computer window can you tell is the computer to old for the drive or is the drive faulty

is the drive set as slave with the main one set as master

Also:

If it is a brand new drive it needs to be formatted (initialized) before it will show in My Computer and be usable.

To do this right click My Computer then click Manage then Disk Management.

Then right click in the right side area of this drive's listing and choose Format...
