My computer wont play any games anymore...
Ok just yesterday i downloaded a program(Fraps) but then it didnt work. I looked at some of the coments from people who downloaded the program and they told me to do this and that and then they told me to delete some stuff which i did. And then after that i restarted my comp(which it told me to do) and then after that i couldnt get my computer back up. So then my mom's friend came over and helped get my computer back up. But then after that i noticed i couldnt play any games anymore. Mostly i was trying to play the game Maplestory. But after i clik on the icon, a small window pops up saying "Failed in finding proper screen mode for Gr2D". Im not sure why the game and all other games didnt work but i think it was because i deleted something very important the night before. My question is, is there anyway to get back to being able to playing games. sorry if im not detailed enough about my problem. Thanks in advance

That Maple Story error indicates your graphics drivers are inadequate.
What is listed under dxdiag for Display > Device?
go to start Run... dxdiag
You might just need to reinstall these drivers.
-
how do u reinstall those?
-
o wait sorry the notes says
"The system is using the generic video driver. Please install video driver provided by the hardware manufacturer.
To test DirectDraw functionality, click the "Test DirectDraw" button above.
Direct3D functionality not available. You should verify that the driver is a final version from the hardware manufacturer. "

You need to know the make and model of your graphics card.
It is most likely either ATI or nVidia based which means it is either one or the other of these sites:
http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp
http://ati.de/support/driver.html
Check your Device Manager if you do not know the card.
Right click My Computer then click Manage then Device Manager > Display adapters
If nothing is listed or you have no Display adapters look for "Other devices".
What is listed here?
-
Intel(R) 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family
-
That was listed where? Under Display adapters?
That is an on-board graphics chip. If that is your only graphics device it means that you do not have a graphics card or it is not detected at all.
Go to start Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs
Do you see any ATI or nVidia software programs listed?
If not what is the make and model of your computer?
-
yea it was listed under Display adapters.
I dont see any thing listed
sorry if i seem really stupid but all i kno about my computer is that its a dell. im not sure if this is it but: Dell Dimension DIM4700. if thats not the model im not sure where to look for it. hope that helped a bit. And i think i do have a graphics card becuz i was able to play games before this incident. I think its just not detected. But i dont know.

Is your monitor plug vertical near the upper edge of the case or horizontal near the middle lower part of the case?
If your graphics device is the Intel chip then this is the Dell driver:
