    Post help again please

I am looking for help again the system specifications are as follows:

    Packard Bell
    System: Windows XP
    Model: Imedia 5093
    Microprocessor: Intel Pentium 2.53GH processor
    RAM: 512MB DDR
Vidio Memory: nVIDIA MX440 64MB TV OUT
    Hard Disk: 250GB Western Digital
    Sound Chip: Stereo
    Motherboard: Columbia 2

I have upgraded the hard drive from an 80GB to a 250GB at first the system would only show the drive as 127GB, some one suggested partitioning the drive, that worked and is now showing a total of 250GB.

When I set up my broadband account and connect up it opens the first page but just does nothing after that, the little double screen icon in the tray on the right bottom that shows you are connected, is showing that it is connected, if you try a search it just comes up cant display page, if the URL is typed in the address bar the same thing page cant be displayed,
If you disconnect and log on again same thing

When I look in control panel under Internet connections there are three
Could this be anything to do with the problem.

    1. BT Broadband BT voyager 105 ADSL modem (I put this one on)

    2. Local area connection realtek RTL8139/810 X family This is marked disabled (I am not sure this might be the internal modem)

    3. 1394 connection 1394 net adapter this is marked as disabled ( I do not know what this is)

    USB Modem YES
    ISP BT Broadband
    Reinstalled Driver YES
DSL light is on all the time (I think) the PC I am trying to sort out is not the one I am using now, at the moment I am using a
    Advent 3050
    Intel Pentium III 500MHz
    512KB
    256MB SD RAM 100MH
    13GB IDE
Video card: 16MB ATI Rage 128AGP
    DC ROM: 4xDVD ROM
Sound Crystal 64 Voice Sound Card

This one is set up using the same BT Broadband BT voyager 105 ADSL modem
and I do not have any problems it is just an old pc and very slow, so I have to keep swapping them back and forth.

do you get the network icon?

    (the one near the curser)

if so, right click on it, and click open network connections

find the one that is your USB modem, right click it and click properties un-tick the box that says "notify me when this device has limited or no connectivity" click ok.... does it work now?
