When I vist web pages, I can view some of the photos on those pages, but some just show a square box with a small box in top left corner with a red X in it.

I'm told by others that they visit the same sites with no trouble. Do I have something adjusted wrong ??

Any help would be nice.

OK, just tried that, now the red X is gone, but now I have the same box with a red square, green circle, and blue triangle in it.

Any idea on how to get rid of that?

That is Macromedia's icon for a failed image.

Check your Firewall settings. Some block Adds which might trigger this.
