    Reinstalled XP and having problems

Well last night I reinstalled Windows XP on my girlfriends computer. Everything went will until now.... She has a wireless laptop and for some reason the HPWireless folder is missing from her program files. Because of this, we can't make an internet connection with her wireless router in her house. Also for some reason, no sound card has been detected and I'm not getting any sound. I used the Recovery disk that came with the computer and figured all programs/files would be reinstalled as if we just bought the computer, but i guess i was wrong. is there anything that i have to install besides just running the recovery disk? any help would be appreciated. thanks.

no, when you re-install XP, it ONLY installs xp, nothing else.... anyway...

what is the make and model of the laptop?

    audio driver

    Wireless:
    HP Wireless Assistant
    Broadcom WLAN Network Adapters Driver
Intel PROSet for Intel PRO/Wireless Network Connection
Broadcom WLAN Network Adapters User Interface
Broadcom WLAN Network Adapters Driver for Windows XP

you will not need all of these, just chose the relevant ones, download them and copy (not install) them to some storage device (e.g. usb flash memory or cd)

then put this cd or flash drive in the laptop and run the setup files.

    Hope this helps,
    Mike
