    XP Home Blue Screen

Was given a Think pad that was riddled with bugs. and not updated. Started getting rid of the bugs then load SP2. I don't know whatr happened but now the thing loads the windows screen then blue screens
    Error Stop 0x0000006b

Then gives option to start in Safe Mode
    Safe Mode with Networking
    Safe Mode with comand prompt

    Last Known good config

    Start windows normaly

I can press F8 and it adds
    Enable boot logging
    Enable VGA mode
    Directory Services Restore Mode
    Debugging mode

I have tried all of them and it just keeps trying to reload, blue screen, windows option menu.

    Help?????
    Joe

do you have Roxio GoBack or Norton system works installed?

if you enter the bios screen (usualy F2 when computer is 1st switched on) and change the boot sequence so that your CD drive is at the top, then try restarting the computer with the xp cd in the drive.

    hope this helps

    is this the error?

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/330134

did the machine have XP originally on it?

pressing Delete may get you into the BIOS to alter the boot sequence
