i got 2 hardrives 40 gb(windows loaded) & 160 gb . i wanted 2 tranfer some material from my friends hardrive 80 gb. as i dont have any more chords data cables) can i remove my cd rom chord? and the other hardrive (my friends) has windows loaded on it .so on startup which copy of windows would load mine(40gb) or his (80gb) one .

basically my questions are
can i attach my cd rom chord?
which copy of windows will be loaded if his loaded how do i load my windows even though his hdd is attached

Well, if you plug the HD where the CD drive is, your xp will load as it is on the primary IDE chanel and yes, you can connect a HD where the CD drive is plugged in as they both use IDE connections (that is presuming your hard drive is IDE and not S-ATA)
