    Unhappy Sound Problem.

I have no idea what started this problem, but no sound will work. ive just bought a new sound card, and the computer reads it, yet WMP says there is a problem with it. ive been to the device manager and it shows no sign of problems with the sound card. ive done the DirectX diagnostic tool, and it says nothing is wrong. i have no idea whats wrong with the sound. any more idea's?

have you got sound on the motherboard, is it disabled in the BIOS?

what was the old sound card, did you remove the drivers?

if you go to the control panel click sound and audio devices.... go to the audio tab and select the appropreate device for playback and recording.

    Hope this helps

you probably need to install the drivers.
