    Re: Windows Xp Recovery Problems!

This is similar to other Ghost errors I see:

Box Title labeling the frame that comes up shows Symantec Ghost 7.0
    Copyright (c) 1998-2001 Symantec Corporation.

    1. Error: Cannot open R:\T2625.GHO

    I hit ok

    2. Error: Cannot open GHOSTERR.TXT

    I hit ok

    3. Application Error 11000 (Invalid dump file) (If this problem
persists, contact Symantec Tehnical Support at
    http://service.symantec.com

I hit ok and the following occurs:

    Message:
    Windows XP Restore Complete

Most Hard Drive manufacturers have diagnostic software on their web sites with which to create a boot floppy to diagnose the drive. You need to know the particular manufacturer.

Yeah...lol i wish i knew who the manufacturer of my hard-drive is, your online hardware scan isn't working on my computer for some reason, even though it has before, so im not really sure, where else can i find the manufacturer of my HDD?

Our scan is Out of Order.

But you cannot get on that computer; can you?

Can you get into the BIOS Setup?

The drive should be ID'd in the BIOS Setup.

YES! it worked and im now typing this on my newly formatted computer, the computer was looking for the recovery disk in the wrong drive, for some reason it was looking in my image drive? very strange i have no idea why, it must have been changed to be the default drive or something in the BIOS settings, i just find it odd that the program would still start even though the disk wasn't being detected. Oh well, i guess everything is ok now and thank-you for all your help it was extremely insighful and useful. Have a good one and thanks again jephree!

Cool! Glad you got it going. We all learn through these experiences which is a great thing about sites like this.

The next time someone has a similar problem we will have this new question to ask them.

    Thanks for the feedback.

Let us know if we can help further in the future or come back and help others yourself.
