Re: XpPro Delayed Start
O.K. we should examine again what the problems could be with respect to drivers and software start-up apps.
I suggest unpluging your modem from the power supply firstly so you're protected from naughties at stage 2.
1)hit start type in msconfig, click services tab, check radio button that states 'hide all Microsoft Services' press apply, then click 'disable all' apply then click startup tab click 'disable all' then apply ok then at prompt reboot.
See if your pc boots without the error y'all talking about.
When pc has booted, mscongih again, services, enable all, apply, ok reboot.
Is there a problem here?
If not go through msconfig again and and enable each startup item till you get to what you have written about is the problem.
Write it down then enable all startup items except the one you think is causing you a problem and connect modem and post back here.
Might be a good idea for you to post all your startup items.
I would also recommend being up-to-date on all hardware and patches from M$ etc.
