Hi ... have a laptop with four USB 2 ports. However, when I connect a hi-speed device, an error message pops "A high speed device is plugged into a non-hi speed usb hub". I am running windows xp sp2 (home). the device is connected by high speed cable 2.0 revision

What do you think is the problem ?

It seems as though its a non high speed USB interface. Its most likely that you only have 2 ports at USB version 2.0 (high speed) and 2 at version 1.1

Whats the make and model of your laptop?
