recently i did a computer reformat, and replaced my 2x256mb ram with a 1GB ram. things went fine till today something unusual happened 3 times.
while playing Warcraft 3 through Hamachi, and once when i played Elder Scrolls Oblivion, this error about Win32 came out. saying it was closed. i'm attaching a screen shot of the error from Event Viewer as i'm not sure what is it.
i've got a slight suspicion it's related to my Hamachi or my ethernet drivers as everytime after this happens, i'm disconnected from the net and cannot reconnect until i've restarted.
Do you have any more errors in there at all under Application, System or even Anti-virus that coincide with this error?
Use the "copy to clipboard" button below the up and down arrows and then paste it to a notepad file to copy/paste here.
Look for "information" entries as well before and after that time. They may tell you much more.
As a preliminary analysis thats the Windows32 NET API DLL file. Its part of the of Operating system. Usually when it corrupts and fails repeatedly, it'll be a corrupt or incomplete OS.
Do you get this all the time or do you get it only with a specific task?
How did you reformat - what option did you choose?
it happens unpredictably. reformat using the normal method? i don't remember changing anything. erm... delete partition, recreate partition, quick format, install windows?
boot from cd of course.
there's one other warning, not error. here's it
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: Userenv
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1517
Date: 12/4/2006
Time: 9:16:31 PM
User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Computer: KAI
Description:
Windows saved user KAI\TJK911 registry while an application or service was still using the registry during log off. The memory used by the user's registry has not been freed. The registry will be unloaded when it is no longer in use.
This is often caused by services running as a user account, try configuring the services to run in either the LocalService or NetworkService account.
i have a slight suspicion it's somehow related to my Hamachi Client, as if i remember correctly it only started happening after i updated it. and as i just reformatted the com alot of the critical updates arent there... so i'm suspecting it's caused by Hamachi due to... some security stuff.
i've uninstalled Hamachi for the time being just to test it out. hope someone has some suggestions.
I don't have experience with Himachi, in fact I only heard of it today from you
Is it a peer to peer connection server?
The log isn't very helpful at all. It just repeats what we know. You can uninstall it and test for a few days. If you don't get the error then you can know it was that. If you do, then we'll have to see some other way.
i think so. basically it creates this virtual lan server so i can play games with friends through the net. it makes the games think it's connected to a LAN network. of course someone will have to host the "Channel".
uninstalled it and after that there was the error once, but after restart till now it's working fine. hope this continues. lol.
yeah i am using SP2. after Hamachi removal it still happens. found out i have no system restore prior to the incident, so i cant do a system restore either.
yes exactly the same. just happened. however i just noticed something... when it happens, i get the usual Windows error report thingy. asking me do i want to send a report. it says Win32 Generic Host error or something.
everytime i click don't send, well internet connections all close down. cant connect till i restart the system. what i did this time was, ignore the error. pushed the error notice to the side. i'm still online till now.
