Am having a problem on 2 different PCs both running WinXP Home, lots of things seem to have gone wrong since running a sweep with CCcleaner and doing an sfc /scannow. I will try to list the various problems as accurately as possible:
On Panrix magnum3500
- Quicktime has disappeared from Start/Programs list and shortcut from desktop.
There is a folder Quicktime in C/Program files but I can't find any file to either reload or uninstall.
I have tried downloading again but the new download doesn't re-install showing the message "A newer version of this program is already loaded on this computer".
- The mouse (Microsoft Intellipoint) has gone strange, on some weblinks double click works as before, some others open right away by simple clicking on them once.
-In system restore all months but the current one have disappeared, no longer possible to restore to earlier dates other than November.

On Evesham Axis 2400+
- A game had been removed using the uninstall feature as it was not playing correctly. When trying to reinstall, the "Install" option on CD does not show up.
By doing explore CD I have found the setup icon and clicked on it but message" This program is already installed" appears and load stops.
Done a files and folder search and removed all references to the game name / software / manufacturer.
Also searched the registry and cleared all references.
Still same problem, when trying to reload the process stops indicating program already installed.

- System restore same problem as the other PC, everything vanished but current month.
