When exactly are you getting this message?
While reinstalling XP? Is it stopping you from reinstalling XP?
This is not an XP file. Some other software or hardware is looking for it.
Hi There
I Get It On My Screen When I Start Up , I Get 3 Pop Ups Saying Some D.ll Files Are Missing - Once Ive Closed These Boxes Xp Runs As It Should . So All Its Doing Is Coming On As A Pop Up Which I Have To Clear Off My Screen - Very Very Irittating !!!!
Thanks Tet
Go to start Run... msconfig | Startup
Nothing in this list is required to start XP. These are all add-ons. Of course your Anti-Virus as well as Firewall will be there.
The point being that by unchecking the boxes you stop the particular application from starting automatically with XP. In this way you can try to find what program is throwing these errors.
Upon reboot you will be warned that you are starting in a diagnostic mode. Just check the box that basically says: Don't show me this again.
THANKS ALOT FOR THE INFO - IT WORKED A TREAT
