system specs syntax sv 400 motherboard g force 4 64 meg graphics , amd athlon 2200 chip 512 mb pc 2700 ddr ram ,80 gig ibm hard drive, just built this system , all is working fine but does not beep on startup , tried speaker connection both ways still no beep, although this is not a problem in itself i just wondered if any of you had came across this problem before and if so what is the cure

another problem when i recieve an answer to my post i am not informed by e mail although relavant boxes are ticked

the system all works OK but you have no POST beep, have you ever had a beep?

no never had a beep since self build approx 2 years ago

Try booting without any RAM and see if it beeps.
