I am planning to sell my computer to someone but they want it reformatted before i give it to them. The only problem is I lost my reformatting disks. I was wondering if there are any possible ways to reformat my computer without the disks.

I wish i had the option in system tools to burn the disks again but i dont. So any help would be great.

Are you wanting to do a Clean Install of XP or do you just want to wipe the hard drive?

If the former you will need an XP CD. If the latter:

Most hard drive manufacturers have formatting tools on their web site.

They run off a boot floppy or CD.

You can also use GParted Live CD which is a good tool:

I found the restore disks in a heap of cd's thanks for the help anyway.
