G'Day folks,
My external hard drive where I store all my music, has somehow renamed itself from 'E' Drive to 'F' Drive. Which has played havoc with my playlists. Is there a way to rename this drive back to the way it was?

Drives other than A: & C: are basically arbitrarily set although they shouldn't change unless the drives have been removed and reinstalled etc.
The option is under Disk Management. Right Click the right area of the drive box and choose: Change drive letter and paths.
Disk Management = Right click My Computer then click Manage > Disk Management
Can it be changed if its the drive you boot from? And when the OS on the hardrive is running?
I tried, failed.
I want mine to be C instead of D - the Master drive that is although everything installed on it is now in the D directory.
No this cannot be changed short of doing a Clean Install or perhaps purchasing partitioning software.Originally Posted by Kazna3
