I have a problem with my computer i can't seem to change the background at all. I can only change the color but thats it. I go to display and desktop but the browse button and the arrows to select a background are completely greyed out. I noticed that when i terminate explorer the background shows up but when explorer starts the background goes away..........i don't know what to do with this problem does anyone know any solutions?

First off use this first program to back up your registry:

Then:

Open Regedit and navigate to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\System
(and)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Policies\Syste*m


Delete the values "Wallpaper" and "WallPaperStyle" in the right-pane.


Close Regedit.exe
