    Errors + Crashs Alot

Ok Well I Might as well explain that i have already Reformated and Fdisked my hard drive and this error still happens and im wondering if someone can help me remove it,

The error that pops up when i try to install a .exe or unzip a .rar or .zip or .ace is this

The contents of this file cannot be unpacked. The executable you are attempting to run has been corrupt. Please obtain another copy of the file, Verify its integrity, and try again

.. Thats what has been popping up when i try to use any .Zips or .Rars or .Aces

Now the .exe Error has only happened once and after redownloading it worked and i dont have a copy of the error on hand.

Now i though hey this could be a fast acting virus so i did what i would have done usally i ran AdWare SE PErsonal and it found "Alexa" And it have a Warning level of "5" which is the highest possible.

It removed it/quarintined it properly and just to be safe i ran a scan in Safe mode to catch anything else and it found a MRU List it said so i did what it reccomened and left it alone.

Now after all of that im also getting this error (Which i think is spyware or a virus) It says messanger failed please go to winfixpc.com and then that pops up at different times.
it also reccommends getting registry cleaner.

now right now i have installed Ad-Ware SE And CCleaner to try and fix some of the problems and that hasnt helped right now im not running any anti-virus or firewall because i thought that could be the .rar,.ace,.zips problem but its not. i also have reinstalled windows twice and reformated about 6 times and i have fdisked twice so i think that this might be a hardware error but like i said i don't know what to do.

Now if anyone knows why this is happening can you reply to this post.

The first thing you need to do is go to Windows Update and install SP2.

Hahaha Well the worst has happened i recieved the Classic Blue-Screen-O-Death trying to re-install SP 2.

That was the second time i tried to update to SP2

The first time it gave me Error Number like 8004**** i forget the other numbers

Now my computer won't load windows it only goes to the boot_Volume Blue screen error.

Now i don't know what caused this but it happened after installing Windows XP Fdisking then installing Linux (Ubuntu).
Before i tried this linux Version my computer ran fine.

So unless this Safe Mode works so i can restore it im Screwed and ill have to re-install and Reformat again.

so ill give you an update in about a week or so when i have the time to get to this computer
