Re: LAN Driver installed and now computer TRASHED fully!

Keyboard: check Control Panel > Regional and Language Options

Monitor: do you have the choice of intermediate options?

You might have had software on your other drive. For example my monitor came with a program called Liquid View which allows me to choose any resolution and zoom up or down. If I were to reinstall XP I would have to reinstall this program to see what I see now.

No I didn't have any program as the original monitor is now out due to an backlight failure and this one is just a temporary TIME add on.

My computer came with many original programs - I don;t have them on CD etc at all but can copy them over from program files etc off the slave drives. So how do I get them back apart from purchasing and reconfiguring all of them? hint: over 200

Heck I don;t even have Adobe on here :not funny:

Right now, I'm copying all my 40Gb drive over to this HDD - even the Windows folder.

I'll copy-paste the plugins and all files I know to work well beforehand etc.. and theres too much yet to be done.

Any program online such as the basic Adobe reader can be reinstalled online.

If you have the original CD's from your computer you can reinstall those programs.

Unfortunately I doubt you will have any success in copying program files as again they depend on the original registry.

Jephree, the monitor problem is much better now although still not perfect.

    A reboot changed is slightly.

The keyboard problem remains - keys such as Shift+@ type as " and vice versa.

These programs, sometimes leave installation and setup exe's so you can run them and most of the times if you can manage to get the orginal program, the plugins and additions can just be copied with their configuration settings as well.

This is what I'm after now - and your perfectly right that the programs I doubt I can in any way install away from their installation exe.'s

    Many thanks

Your keyboard issue still appears to me as a Regional Language setting.

If you are in the US is your keyboard set to US or UK if UK?

Setup.exe's is all you need. That reminds me of some song

    Song just being silly

    All You Need Is Setup.exe

There's nothing you can do that can't be done.
Nothing you can sing that can't be sung.
Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game
    It's easy.

There's nothing you can make that can't be made.
No one you can save that can't be saved.
Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be in time
    It's easy.

All you need is Setup.exe, all you need is Setup.exe,
All you need is Setup.exe, Setup.exe, Setup.exe is all you need.

Is that supposed to be a song?

Well it makes sense here anyway

Screens fixed now thanks. A reboot and more adjustment of the screen and it looks better now.

I quite like a smaller font and screen & have never been fond of the large fonts/screen appearance, so this will do well.

However the keyboard is not - I've set every option there to UK -English. What more is possible?
