please can anyone help, i keep getting a beeping sound on my computer every 6 seconds or so doing my head in dont know how to get rid

No Other Problems, Just This Annoying Buzz Every 5/6 Seconds Windowsxp Home Edition, I Have Just Installed A All In One Printer That Is All I Have Done Different,doing My Head In Now

the buzz from the machine was it there before the all in one was installed?

is the buzz coming from the front or back of the machine?

the buzz was there before i installed the all in one, it is a sound like my computer is trying to dial up, i am on bt broadband, when i open a new page i get this buzz thought it might be my dial up modem so my son has taken it out,but now i get this noise every few seconds cannot play music or have any sound on my computer at all it is more of a beep than a buzz
have you any ideas what it could be, the sound is more like a phone when engaged but only beeps the once

are you using an extension lead for the phone line?

is the buzz coming out of the computers speakers?
