Help! Idiot guide needed.
I have the following message when I go into microsoft WORKS and try to open "letters"

RUNTIME ERROR!

Program C: /Programs Files\Microsoft\msworks.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the applications Support team for more information.

or
Abnormal program termination


I have tried to uninstall the microsoft works program but the icon in Control panel - Add?remove programs is not there/ listed

What can I do?

Was Works pre-installed on your computer?

If so what is the make and model of the computer. Did you get Recovery disks with it?

I see that error related to malwear issues. Do you have any other problems on the computer?

I also see it suggested to remove any listings for Works that might be found in this Microsoft Cleanup Utility:
