Hi and welcome to D-A-L
when you install the soundblaster card then boot up does windows not find new hardware?
what motherboard have you got, what soundcard were you using before?
the computer was using the soundblaster but i reinstall windows xp when i bought it to start from the begining
ep-4plai (motherboard)
right now i'm using the onboard soundcard
p4 3.0ghz ddr 400mghz
when the PC was using the sound blaster what O/S was it running?
have you tried disabling the on-board sound, installing the sound blaster and see if windows finds it as new hardware?

format reinstall windows and software drivers and the program you like name the machine as you want and split up the HDD i did 3 part 1-main 2-games 3-download
i realise something the computer detect the game port (on the card)port but not the sound card

i might have another question
i have ddr 400mghz but it run at 200mghz how can i change that setting ??
i run mem test86 there's no problem with my memory
DDR-400: DDR-SDRAM memory chips specified to operate at 200 MHz
This is standard. The chip speed is Double-Data-Rate of the computer bus speed.
