    Virus

I've been having problems for awhile with this virus, iph863.dll and it always scans as Trojon.Conhook something through my antivirus program, but everytime i try to delete, quarantine, rename the file it always fails. I'm wondering how can I get rid of this file? Should I just manually locate it and delete the file, is there another program I can use? Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks in advance

How do I turn off system restore? And do you mean remove as in delete the file, or as in run a virus scan and do it?

    system restore

Start......Settings........Control Panel ....System .....System Restore......put a tick in turn off system restore.

rerun the anti virus empty the virus vault, reboot machine and rerun the anti virus, if it's all clear turn on system restore again

Hey I turned off system restore and rain a virus scan, but it still says "delete failed" when I try to get rid of it. What did you mean when you said empty virus bank (haha sorry, i'm totally computer illiterate.)

    What antivirus you use?
I'm using avg antivirus and when there's a file detected as a virus and can't be either deleted or healed, I chose the third option i.e. moving it to virus vault.
Virus vault is like a prison for the virus.
From this virus vault, there's an option to delete it, just execute it.

    Hope that helps

I think you may need to follow the instructions Here and then post your log in a new thread in the Spyware, Adware section. (Not here please). with a brief explanation of what the symptoms are
