back when I was running windows 98 and a 56k modem, I used to be able to download 3 to 4 files at the same time rather quickly, some of which were close to 200k each.

according to various speed test my transfer rate is approx, 189 Kbytes/sec. I just dl'ed a 365mb file in 36 min

Now with a new 3.8ghrz machine and dsl I can dl a file in 30 minutes, but as soon as I try doing 2 let alone 3 everything slows down to dial up speed. is the problem microsoft, my machine or what.. TIA
