Hey, I just wanted to post onto this thread because I am having the exact same problem, and I can't figure out what is wrong with my machine. I can't ever get the error messages because normally they can't be seen, or it is only on the screen for a split second. So I did the downloads of the two freeware programs, and I got the debuglog file. So I figure I will post it up on here, and you could possibly help me out with the same problem, cause this is messing with my head, and I just can't figure it out.

    SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000007e)
This is a very common bugcheck. Usually the exception address pinpoints
the driver/function that caused the problem. Always note this address
as well as the link date of the driver/image that contains this address.
Some common problems are exception code 0x80000003. This means a hard
coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but this system was booted
/NODEBUG. This is not supposed to happen as developers should never have
hardcoded breakpoints in retail code, but ...
If this happens, make sure a debugger gets connected, and the
system is booted /DEBUG. This will let us see why this breakpoint is
    happening.
    Arguments:
Arg1: c0000005, The exception code that was not handled
Arg2: f53ad867, The address that the exception occurred at

Is this a new problem? Were things working OK previously? Any new hardware or software?

That dump was caused by an audio driver conflict. Audio drivers also are installed for modems.

So it could be a conflict between your audio device and modem trying to access the same IRQ.

This problem has been going on for quite some time now. My computer has a new video card, new sound card, and new network card in it.

I could just turn off or delete all the audio drivers for the motherboard if I knew what they were. But I can't find them to disable them or delete them.

The audio drivers for the motherboard would be in the BIOS Setup. Usually accessed by pressing the Delete key at power on. Some use F2 some F10. Look for Setup. Then browse through all the tabs and options looking for Audio. Your manual should help you find the proper location. What is the make and model of the motherboard?

That being said I still see a possible conflict between audio and NIC.

I would remove the NIC and see if things work OK.

Or remove the sound card. Trial and error at this point but that dump was definitely concerned with these items.

Im looking at my device manager right now, and Im seeing all these under the Sound, video and game controllers section of device manager:

    Audio Codecs
    Legacy Audio Drivers
    Legacy Video Capture Devices
    Media Control Devices
    NVIDIA(R) nForce(TM) Audio Codec Interface
NVIDIA(R) nForce(TM) MCP Audio Processing Unit
    PSA2 Ultimate Edge (WDM)
    Ultimate Edge Audio Controller WDM
    Video Codecs

So Im not sure if that helps, but that is all the devices/drivers i guess for the audio. There seems to be too many of them, maybe they are conflicting. I have a phillips sound card. and I think the Ultimate Edge controller and such is for that sound card, so I don't want to disable/delete those. Maybe its the Legacy Audio Drivers and Audio Codecs.
