Wont start after safe mode attempt...

Hi guys, damsel in distress here, really in distress! I have a 3gig pentium 4 fujitsu siemens, its been giving me hassle for the past year, but somehow sorted the majoity of its self out. Somebody said my registry is buggered, somebody tells me i have viruses and malicious files on my computer. few days ago i tried to acces my computer in safe mode, but as it booted it up, it stopped and restared. Now it asks me on start up if i want to acces the last working configuration, access normal windows, safe mode and all that, but whichever option i choose it doesnt work. The computer starts to boot, but after it gets passed the disc check (where it states something is bad or corrupt) it then reboots itself again and starts the process over. I really dont know whats wrong, could it be a hardware failure?
If anybody could help me, it would be most greatly appreciated

    damsel

What is the exact Fujitsu-Siemens model?

Perhaps we can find Recovery options on their site:

    http://support.fujitsu-siemens.com/c...downloads.html

If you did not get Fujitsu-Siemens Recovery disks perhaps they have a hotkey process.

thank you for your replies and help so far.....the battle continues

    Just to add:

Sorry my last link stuck on an example I was trying. This is the start page:

    http://support.fujitsu-siemens.com/c...downloads.html

You need your exact model e.g. Notebooks > Lifebook > Lifebook B > Lifebook B2130 etc.

i gave my exact model, it is a cordant M desktop computer, but there was no luck. Perhaps they arent supporting it now? thankyou so far jephree and brain damage, your help is very much appreciated... true internet gentlemen!
Would it be possible to just replace the hard drive? Or find out what it is causing the problem and then replace that? I must sound naive, im sure things are alot more complicated than that, but this is bugging me a little. It wasnt a bad PC at all.....

if you change the hard drive you'll need a copy of XP to reinstall the operating system to start with,
was the PC new when you got it, where did you get it from?
the machine will have a COA with the XP key on
this is what you're looking for http://www.microsoft.com/uk/piracy/g...e/default.mspx
