    pc randomly restarts

Hi my pc randomly restarts. I have uploaded a copy of the .dmp file in a text format. As this makes no sense to me can some one shed some light on why it keeps restarting?

    Thanks

Forgot to mention the system sometimes restarts when I shut it down. I have copies of other mini dump files the system has created. But I don’t know if thy are the same problem.

    Cheers

Is this a new problem? Were things working OK previously?

Those dumps are all very similar. Probably the same issue. They initially point to a driver most likely associated with a wireless NIC.

Any new hardware and or software? Especially wireless and or Remote access software?

Also post more logs if you get more.

The problem has been happing since I remember. i have checked system event viewer and I get the following errors.

    Event ID: 7000
    Source: Service Control Manager

The PCAMPR5 NDIS Protocol Driver service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

There are about 4 errors each time the pc loads.

I have attached more dumps got more dumps.

However I do have a inventel wireless magic network adapter. Could this be the problem?

PCAMPR5 NDIS also points to a Wireless device.

Your other two dumps were Audio/Video: one caused by WMP and the other by Kaspersky Antivirus.

Do you use the wireless connection? If you have an Ethernet connection you might try disabling the wireless to see if the errors persist.

This can be done via the Device Manager: start Run... devmgmt.msc

I disabled the wireless network adapter and noticed there were no errors in system event viewer but as soon as I enable the wireless adapter again the errors come up. Is there any way of solving this as this is the only wireless adapter I have as the router is in another room. Is there away I can stop this error or get around it?

I do now remember this problem started once I connected to the internet with is network adapter.

    Thanks you.

What is the make and model of the computer?

What is the make and model of the NIC?

Are you sure that they are compatible?

Do you have the proper drivers for the NIC?

I have found out its my wireless adapter. I have wanadoo broadband. The wireless adapter make is Inventel Wireless magic model UR054g.

I did a Google search and realised many people have problems with this adapter. I have the drivers that came with the adapter. I have found other drivers that I am going to try to see if they eradicate the problem

I have now connected the router straight to the pc through the Ethernet adapter and I don’t seem to be getting any system restarts. It was the wireless network adepter that was the problem.
