    Exclamation Desktop Wallpaper Issue

My PC (Win XP) recently got attacked with a hijack virus. Although I cleared it of that problem, there is another issue that has me quite stumped. It appears that the virus had left a website locked to my desktop. Although I was able to delete the html files, I only left my desktop with a blank, white wallpaper. I even went into my Display Properties and saw that my own wallpaper was still inacted. Could this be an active desktop issue or something? I can't rid the white desktop and bring back up my own desktop wallpaper. Please help.

hey, i got an idea. goto your display properties again and go under the desktop tab. click the customize desktop button under where you can select your background. click the web tab and see if My Current Home Page is checked, if so, uncheck it and that should rid of that problem. i had the same desktop problem about a year ago and that seemed to solve the problem.
