Hope someone can help with this frustrating problem. One of my computers will not write data via the USB`s, it will read OK but when i try to write it says "cannot copy(file) the disk is write protected. remove write protection or use another disk" It has worked perfectly in the past, I have tried a few usb storage devices and also an ipod all with the same result. I have also tried all these units with an identical computer and they all work perfectly. I have also checked all the settings on both computers (including the bios) and they are the same. I built these computers about 2 years ago and they are made from identical parts, a brief description is :
CPU Intel p4 2.4 gig
asus P4P800 motherboard
1 meg ram
nvidia 5900 graphic card
