hi guys, iv got a problem with my laptop freezing ever hour ir two sometimes more, i recently upgraded the mem from 512gig, to the max 2 gig which was bought thru crucial mem advisor, now the lappy freezes when im downloading or inperticular copying dvds,it seems to not freeze when i press the whisper mode button,which isnt handy coz it slows every thing down, graphics cpu etc, and it takes up to 8 hours to convert a dvd into chapters when this is pressed,
my laptop is a fujitsu siemens Amilo M3438G model,1.7ghz,
i have even tryed a full clean instal of xp, and tryred each mem module 1 at a time but it still does it, it never did it when it had just 512 in it ,
can any one help out there,

what is the speed of your old RAM?
what is the speed of the new RAM?
do you know the model # of your motherboard?
