I have just had to re-install windows on my pc as i had a problem with my pc. I switched from having XP media center edition to XP professional.

Since doing this i have problems with my monitor which is noticeable when i scroll up or down. The screen kind of flickers and doesn't scroll smoothly.

Is this a monitor problem? it worked fine with xp media center? I have a Philips 170s monitor.

How do i solve this problem?

Most likely you need to uninstall your old and reinstall new graphics drivers.

What is the make and model of your graphics card?

If you do not know offhand look in the Device Manager under Display adapters. (click on the +).

go to the Device Manager start Run... devmgmt.msc

When i look in the devide manager i don't have a option with display adapters?!

Do you know what graphics card you have?

If not: did you add your own card or was the computer bought as is?

If the latter what is the make and model of the computer?
