I don't think it's AVG it could be though but I've been running it forever and never had this problem I think it may have something to do with my internet connection I have DSL. I have a dynamic IP so it changes constantly and when I hibernate it most of the time screws up the computer because I leave the dsl modem on as I should, and then I come out of hibernation and I can't connect to AIM or firefox sometimes either one or the other will work. I can give you a complete list of what I run but I think it has something to do either with the DSL modem. the kodak camera or the wireless mouse and keyboard I have.

but the problems started after I installed the kodak service same with my dad's computer only he can't access his USB but he uses 98.

    To test I would unclick:

    InstallDriver Table Manager

    Kodak Camera Connection Software

    Office Source Engine

    SDEService

    TuneUp WinStyler Theme Service

    TrueVector Internet Monitor

I realize the TrueVector is your ZA Firewall but try running without it just as a test.

Uncheck and reboot. You can always go back and recheck. The list will not change.

ok I think I may have found some of what caused the problem the service control manager says that Windows User Mode Driver Framework was terminated unexpectedly well I googled it and it's WDFMGR.exe. I always kill that process when I start my computer because I read somewhere it wasn't needed. I'll do what you said and see if I have anymore problem.

I just had to restart a second ago because I double clicked a shortcut on my desktop and drwatson came up and said it crashed then the screen was blank it only had the backgound pictuer and my WMP.

    Yes please post your info.

I am very spread out as to my time these days but if I get a chance I will try to continue researching.

You might as well post all the data that you have.

Maybe someone else will have ideas as well.

What type of errors/logs were they? Were they .dmp Dump logs? If so:

Go to start | search (type in) .dmp
Note the location of your .dmp files.
Remember this location and the path that leads to it.

    Then:

    1) Download and install the
    Debugging Tools from Microsoft

All you need do is download and install this. Make no attempt to start or run it.

    2) Download and install this
    debugwiz

This is a DOS based batch file that will command the above Microsoft Tools.

    3) Open the Wiz & Browse to, or paste in the path to, your .dmp file.

    4) After the Wiz creates a Text document attach it back to this thread.

I viewed them in event manager it looks like everything crashed but it won't give you the details until I double click the error is there a way I don't have to double click the errors to view the details?

this is what I'm talking about: http://img76.imageshack.us/img76/116...hunter6my1.png
