    unable to detect soundblaster soundcard

    please help....again
    erm good thing is i got my home computer working with all my old files
    im unable to hear any sound since my computer does not detect the soundcard
    ive tried reinstalling my soundcard drivers but still no, even modifying and repairing....but no!

    Are you sure that you have the proper drivers?

    Do you have a PCI Sound Card or built-in Audio on your motherboard?

    The best source of drivers is the particular manufacturer's web site.

    yeah! im sure this was my defaulted sound card it came with the computer and so did the driver disk.
    i ve used the disc twice since i had to reinstall it twice but now its unable to detect it.
    i might open up my computer...tell u later how it went...
    its a PCI card
    and i'll check the creative website for this error!

    Most computers have Audio on an on-board chip. In general a PCI Sound Card would have been added by you.

    If it actually is a PCI card and it is not detected you may need to open the case and re-seat it.

    Another possibility is to go to the manufacturers website and look for updated drivers.

    Did you reload SP2?

    yeah i did because remember i had to well....erm... repair install windows and it made computer work again.....strangly....ill open up my computer and update u later

    wait...........maybe it was installed in with the mother board m not sure...
    but i did not put my current soubd card in...so can u possibly erm... please give me info on how i could fix the sound in this situation

    What is the make and model of your computer?

    The manufacturer will have drivers on their web site,
