hey i think i m going to have to open it because it cannot detect the actual card
so i think im going to reasure its in place..unless u can think of anymore ideas

If those Dell drivers do not detect than you might have a card.
One other way to check is the audio ports (green and pink) would be on the edge of the back of the computer if the audio is on-board.
If you have a sound card your ports would be towards the center of the computer as a PCI card mounts perpendicularly to the motherboard.

my sound card is horizontal....near to the bottomso guess not PCI card huh?
if it is built in what can i do please help
Thanks in advance

That sounds like a PCI Sound Card.

You should also have ports on the side (green and pink). Try using these although you may need to remove the card as well.
You are at least going to have to ID this card in order to find drivers. So it looks like either way you need to open the case and take a look.
The card should have a label or some ID on it.

hey guess what i fixed it!!!
don't worry jep it was just that the card was not correctly in place... because theres this kind of lever that stops all the cards from coming out of place.. that lever wasnt locked so....the sound card must of slipped...dont wrry its all working
