    Disk Defrag Problem

When I recently ran disk defragmentor overnight it seems that my computer locked up during the night. When I started the defragmenter the night before I had about 18% of the Hard Drive free, but after I manually restarted my computer this morning the disk defragmenter program says I only have 3% of the Hard Drive free (leading me to believe the 15% required to move compressed files to was not deleted after defrag was completed.) How can I fix this and reclaim the portion of my Hard Drive that is suddenly full? The defrag program I used was the stock one that comes with XP.

    Hi and welcome to D-A-L

sometimes it's easier and quicker to defrag in safe mode.

Thanks, I'll have to try defragging again in safe mode. Can anyone tell me where those compressed temporary files are though? Its eating up a ton of my hard drive. As of now I can't even run the defrag properly because I dont have the required 15% of the hard drive free. Maybe if I choose to defrag again even without the 15% free will it delete those files when it finishes? Thanks again.
