How do you remove the gray colors around the text and icon? This computer is new, and I forgot how to do that. Any help would be awsome

I accidently unchecked the "Show Icon In Desktop" when you right click->arrange icons by.
How do you make the icons appear again?

    Right-Click doesn't show up the mini-menu now. I can't chose it again.

Try a System Restore to a point prior to the problem:

start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore
