Usually a USB Cam will require no software.

The software is usually added packages of perhaps trial software.

I only installed the software that allowed you to save images and videos with the webcam, but perhaps we can use Windows Movie Maker to do that. I also installed the drivers. Are those not needed?

In general XP will have the drivers it needs. Test it out.

Also XP has: Scanner and Camera Wizard via start > All Programs > Accessories >
