    Angry Windows XP/IE6 Svc Pk 2 Issues Continue

    I was experiencing memory errors with I/E 6 service pack 2 and have through Microsoft downloaded all recent version of appropriate patches. I am still getting the error messages when in I/E that it could not read the memory or the application error and I have to shut you down message...I also do not get my large picture on my comcast.net home page. Other pictures show fine. If I toggle between pages, I often get the memory error message (it's the common one) and then it throws me out completely. HELP? This is my husband's machine and I've made him very unhappy by updating!

    As a first response you might want to post a HijackThis log for review by our Pros in that section:

    Please follow the instructions HERE & then post your log in a new thread in the Spyware, Adware, Viruses and HijackThis Logs section.

    (Not in this section please).

    Please specify what issues you appear to be experiencing along with your log.


    After they give you an All Clear please return to this thread.

    In WinXP SP2: You can fix Winsock by going to Start | Run and typing

    CMD

    In the command window type

    netsh winsock reset
